3. Uploaded Content & Privacy

All uploaded content is private by default and accessible only to the account holder unless the user explicitly chooses to share it.

We do not access, review, or use uploaded content except as necessary to provide the service or comply with legal obligations.

4. Chrome Extension

The SpritzReader Chrome Extension allows you to speed-read web pages directly in your browser.

a. Permissions

• Active Tab & Page Access: The extension reads the text content of the current page when you choose to speed-read it. It does not access pages you do not explicitly activate it on.
• Storage: Authentication tokens and reading counts are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API.

b. Data Collected

• If you sign in, your authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser and used to verify your account status.
• If you are a signed-in user, the text content of pages you speed-read may be saved to your SpritzReader account so you can access them later from your Saved Texts page.
• No browsing history, cookies, or personal data is collected or transmitted except as described above.

c. Data Not Collected

• We do not track which websites you visit.
• We do not collect or transmit any data when the extension is not actively being used.
• We do not sell or share extension data with third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

We may share data with trusted third parties solely to operate the service, including:

• Payment processors
• Hosting and cloud infrastructure providers
• Analytics and monitoring services
• Email communication providers

These providers are authorized to use your data only as needed to provide their services.

6. International Users & Data Transfers

SpritzReader operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

7. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data while your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data and uploaded content are permanently removed within 30 days, unless retention is legally required.
